Se, a chemical element from the group of chalcogens, exhibits various modifications. Gray metallic Se, the most stable form, showcases semi-metallic properties. Non-metallic red Se transitions to gray metallic Se above 80°C. Black Se, another modification, also converts to the gray metallic form above 80°C.
